Rebecca Kerr
Rebecca Kerr: “My clients benefit from my personalized approach and commitment to each and every client. I approach every client with a focus on compassion, integrity, advocacy, and understanding. I will be your strongest advocate and team member.”
“My approach to family law matters is one that encourages cooperation and a strong effort to resolve cases without need for extensive litigation whenever possible. If the situation involves minor children, I will always advocate for my clients with the best interest of their minor child(ren) in mind.”
Rebecca has been a Family Law attorney since 2015. Prior to that, she had a 20+ year career as a special and general education K-12 teacher. This experience brings a refreshing perspective to understanding children and their families, and the need to resolve family law cases with as little damage as possible. She strongly advocates for mediation and case settlement rather than litigation.
Rebecca attended Western Michigan University Cooley School of Law – Ann Arbor Campus where she graduated Cum Laude in the top 10% of her class. Teaching full-time while attending classes full-time in the evening, she was on the Dean’s List and the Honor Roll for all 9 terms, and was awarded three certificates of merit for the highest score in the class.
Rebecca is the proud mother to three adult children. A vegetarian since the age of sixteen, Rebecca loves animals and has cats of her own. As an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church, she performs marriage ceremonies throughout the state of Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, reality television, and spending time with family and friends.
